In this week’s episode, Katharine and Seth sit down with Christina’s Cunningham, a local massage therapist and somatic healer to hear her story of losing her home to Hurricane Helene. Christina walks us through the nights leading up to the storm and the experience of watching her home flood before her eyes. She shares the deep pain, grief, and shock that followed. Christina also describes the deep and humbling gifts that were presented and are continuing to unfold that would not have been possible pre-storm. Christina reveals how her identity of helper and healer was challenged, when she was given the opportunity to be on the receiving end after such a devastating loss.
She shares with our audience the profound power of “befriending what is there” on the inside when we are in the midst of crisis and gives us an easy excercise to bring us back into our bodies. She also shares with us the profound blessings that are on the other side of tragedy, if we choose to see it from that viewpoint.
